The One Constant

Has anyone told you that change is the one constant? It sounds clever, but what does it really mean?

There’s distance everywhere we look;
closeness wherever we reach.
We sculpt the world with our sense of touch,
and if we have something to teach,

It’s that worlds are built from what we have,
love from whatever we see;
creation is the one constant
